WPS Medicare has publically acknowledged in an eNews there will be delays in payment and an increase in rejected claims.

ICD-10 implementation is rapidly approaching. Are you ready? Even the best prepared office may run into problems directly following the transition. Be prepared to see a decrease in productivity and accuracy, as well as the need for additional training and education for office and billing staff. Expect delays in claims processing and an increase in the number of rejected claims. It is highly recommended that you monitor daily billing and reimbursement results over the next several months to identify any ICD-10 billing inconsistencies that may seriously impact cash flow.
