Emergency Care Specialists, P.C., is a physician-owned, independent group of emergency medicine providers with over 250 physicians and advanced practice providers. ECS staffs multiple Spectrum Health emergency departments, with a combined volume of more than 350,000 annual visits.
A fellowship in observation medicine prepares emergency physicians to lead clinical care, quality improvement and clinical operations outside of the emergency phase of care. The specialty of observation medicine is growing as a solution to improve patient throughput and provide efficient use of health care resources by developing effective patient flow processes and evidence-based clinical protocols. Physicians who complete an observation medicine fellowship will be well prepared for both clinical and administrative leadership.
